Matt McCullin, one of the two tournament first timers we've been tracking from Atlanta just missed the third break. Considering he said making the first break would be a victory it was a good run.
He raised to 3k UTG with an 8k stack. The ten seat shoved with 12k, and a big stack in the big blind called. Matt put the rest of his chips in. The hands were tabled with Matt showing 77, the ten seat A7 and the Big Blind A10.
The flop came 88K (not a great flop for sevens). A harmless low card on the turn, then an Ace for max pain. The 10 seat and the big blind chopped up Matt's chips. Matt promises to come back better in October. His buddy is still alive with almost 20k in chips.
